Police: 1 dead, 2 seriously injured in crash on Central Parkway

CINCINNATI — A woman was killed and two others were seriously injured in a crash on Central Parkway on Sunday.

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, officer responded to the 2400 block of Central Parkway in Cincinnati’s CUF neighborhood at around 6:25 p.m. for a report of a crash.Police said a 31-year-old man was driving his 1999 Acura TL south on Central Parkway when his vehicle went left of center and hit a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 39-year-old man.

A 42-year-old man, who was a pedestrian, was in the road and was attempting to help those involved in the crash when a 2005 GMC Envoy, driven by a 23-year-old woman hit the pedestrian, the Acura and the Chevrolet.

A passenger of the Acura, Asia Cook, 22, died at the scene, police said.

The pedestrian sustained critical injuries from the second crash. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the Acura also sustained critical injuries in the crash. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the Chevrolet and another occupant of one of the vehicles sustain minor injuries in the crash. They were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where they were treated and released.

According to police, neither Cook nor the driver of the Acura were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. All the other individuals were wearing their seat belts, police said.
