JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Interstate 295 and Old St. Augustine Road on Saturday night.
The pedestrian, an adult male, was in the shoulder lane next to his disabled vehicle when he stepped directly in front of an oncoming vehicle for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian lunged for the ground, and the vehicle’s underside collided with him.The pedestrian was fatally injured as a result.
