A man was fatally injured and a second seriously hurt when their disabled vehicle was hit by another vehicle Thursday morning on Interstate 57 near Interstate 80 as they tried to put gas in their car in Country Club Hills, state police said.
The two people were trying to put gas in their car on northbound I-57 when the vehicle, and possibly the two people, were struck by another vehicle from behind, according to a news release from Illinois State Police.
