LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — One person has died after their vehicle was hit twice by two tractor-trailers early Sunday morning.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, around 2:10 a.m., a Buick and a tractor-trailer were traveling eastbound along I-26 near mile marker 113.
Authorities said the Buick hit the rear of the tractor-trailer, spun around and overturned several times before becoming disabled on the interstate.
After the first collision, the Buick was then struck by a second tractor-trailer.
The driver of the car was deceased on scene, while the occupants of the tractor-trailers were not hurt.
