MONROE COUNTY, Ga. – A tractor-trailer fatally struck a woman on I-75 south in Monroe County on August 2.
That’s according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, which says the accident happened around 11:41 p.m. after the woman’s vehicle broke down on the interstate.
Deputies say the victim, identified as Amanda Faye Banks of Flovilla, Georgia, was hit after she got out of her vehicle.Banks was pronounced deceased on the scene. This case is still under investigation.
