Police say a 28-year-old man died after being struck by a car Friday afternoon.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A 28-year-old Naperville man was fatally hit by a car while he was changing a flat tire on his car on Naper Boulevard Friday afternoon.
Police say the man, whose identity has not been released, was changing his tire south of Plank Road just before 3:30 p.m., when he was struck by a 2008 silver Volkswagen Rabbit driven by a 23-year-old Naperville man. The 28-year-old was rushed to Edward Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after.
Naper Boulevard was closed between Plank Road and Chicago Avenue until 7:16 p.m. as police worked to reconstruct the crash. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police say.
