Man hit and killed on I-5 after getting out of car in North Seattle

SEATTLE — A 64-year-old Pullman man was killed after he got out of his car following a crash on northbound I-5 in North Seattle Sunday night.

Washington State Patrol troopers said a Ford F250 pickup lost control near 130th Street in the Northgate area around 7:20 p.m. The driver stopped in the middle lane with no headlights on.

A second vehicle, a Honda Civic, hit the back of the truck and then came to a stop in front of it. The driver of the Honda got out of his car and was walking back toward the truck to see what happened when he was hit by a Jeep.The driver of the Honda died at the scene.
