Fridley, MN – October 16, 2021, a man was killed in a rear-end collision with a parked and unoccupied tractor-trailer on University Avenue in Fridley.
Authorities say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. near the 5800 block of University Ave Northeast. Preliminary investigation suggests only that the victim was driving an SUV on the roadway when he collided for unknown reasons with the back of an occupied 18-wheeler on the shoulder.
The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
