PALM CITY, Fla. (CBS12) — The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a woman who struck a 30-year-old man while driving on I-95.
Authorities say on Sunday around 3:18 a.m. the victim was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 95 just north of SW Martin Highway in a Red Kia Sorento.
According to FHP, the victim says he exited his car to check on a possible mechanical issue, that’s when he was struck by a gray or silver SUV driven by a white female.
The victim suffered serious injuries but he is stable at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, according to FHP.
Investigators said there was no debris on the scene and there was heavy rain at the time of the incident.
Officials are looking for the possible culprit and a gray or silver SUV.
