29-year-old man dies after fiery crash involving semi in Bellevue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 29-year-old Nashville man was killed in a fiery crash involving a semi tractor trailer in Bellevue early Friday morning.

Metro police said the semi driver was traveling south on Old Hickory Boulevard at Tolbert Road around 12:15 a.m., when he slowed to a stop to make a U-turn and activated his hazard lights.Bradley Sage was driving southbound in a Nissan Rogue, when he struck the side of the tractor trailer at the rear axles, according to investigators. The 29-year-old’s car caught fire and he died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Police said their preliminary findings indicated the crash was the result of excessive speed and inattentiveness on Sage’s part.
