A Texas woman whose car had become disabled on Interstate 49 was hit and killed by a passing truck on Friday morning, according to Louisiana State Police.
Diana L. Winship, 72, of Richardson, Texas, had gotten out of her car around 9:20 a.m. near Exit 73. She was standing near the white fog line when she was hit by a 2012 Ford pickup truck, reads a release.Winship was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital, where she later died. The pickup truck driver was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
