Big rig drifted off U.S. 30 and struck Brown; Victim’s vehicle had broken down and was on side of highway
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, OH, (April 04, 2021) - Jeffery Brown sadly died on Sunday, April 4th when he was struck by a semi-truck that drifted out of its lane on eastbound U.S. 30 in Washington Township.According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Brown’s vehicle broke down on the highway at about 9:48 p.m. He was parked on the right berm and began working on the vehicle when he was hit by a tractor-trailer operated by 66-year-old Glen Anderson, who drifted out of its lane and onto the berm.
As a result, the big rig struck Brown and his vehicle. Sadly, Brown, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
