Macon, GA – August 28, 2021, 32-year-old Michelle Fletcher was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 75 South in Macon.
Authorities say the incident happened around 6:00 p.m. on I-75S near the exit to Hartley Bridge Road. Preliminary investigation suggests a commercial 18-wheeler was disabled in the second-to-left lane of the roadway with cones behind it when a Kia Sorento crashed into the back of its trailer.
The Kia’s driver and passenger Fletcher were transported to an area hospital where Fletcher later died. The driver’s current condition is unknown.
The accident is still under investigation. No further information is currently available.
