LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after he was struck by a car Wednesday on Interstate 264.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, the incident was reported just before 5 p.m. on the interstate at Cane Run Road.
Investigators learned that a man, James D. Miracle, was in the process of picking up some equipment off the roadway when he was struck.
The silver sedan that struck the 50-year-old stopped at the scene until police arrived.
Officials said Miracle was taken to University of Louisville Hospital, where he died.
According to the LMPD, two people in the car were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
