Frances Woodall Killed in Crash with Disabled 18-Wheeler on I-24 in Murfreesboro, TN

Murfreesboro, TN – January 12, 2022, 59-year-old Frances Woodall was killed in a collision with a disabled tractor-trailer on Interstate 24 in Rutherford County.

Authorities say the incident happened around 12:25 p.m. along I-24 at mile marker 80 near Salem Highway. Preliminary investigation suggests a commercial 18-wheeler was disabled in the second-to-the-left lane after experiencing an unspecified mechanical failure. As the truck sat in the lane it was reportedly rear-ended by Woodall’s westbound Nissan Pathfinder.

Woodall suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The truck driver, 42-year old Alberto Triana-Copello, was unhurt. Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts.
