GRUNDY COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) – A crash involving two semi-trucks on Interstate 80 Friday in Grundy County left two people injured, Illinois State Police said.
The crash, which happened shortly before 7 a.m. near mile marker 110 in the westbound lanes, left one person seriously injured. The person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, state police said. Another person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

All lanes of the I-80 were closed at about 6:57 a.m. for investigation. Westbound traffic was diverted off at exit 112 and eastbound traffic was diverted off at Seneca Road. At approximately 9:55 a.m., eastbound lanes were opened and at approximately 1:30 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
Police did not provide further information about the incident.
