THOMPSON — Authorities are investigating after a woman was struck and killed Tuesday evening by a tractor-trailer on Interstate-395.
State police said the commercial truck was heading south on the highway in the right lane when the driver saw two vehicles up ahead that were pulled over in the shoulder with their hazard lights activated.
State police said 33-year-old Rebecca C Domas, of Woburn, Mass., had crashed a 2018 Subaru Impreza into about 150 feet of the wire guardrail and posts in the left shoulder.
State police said the truck’s front grille then hit Domas after she crashed.
The report indicated Domas was taken from the scene to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner
State police said the tractor-trailer stopped in the shoulder of the right lane following the crash. No other injuries were reported.
