KELSO, WA, (October 16, 2022) - Two people were hospitalized after a collision involving four vehicles early Sunday morning in Kelso.
The crash happened at around 1:20 a.m. near milepost 36 along northbound Interstate 5.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Jeremy J. Burger, age 33, of Ferndale, was stopped in a 2001 Honda Civic, partially blocking the left lane. Three vehicles – a 2021 Tesla, a 2015 Dodge Dart, and a 2013 Toyota Prius – hit Berger’s or each other’s cars.
The driver of the Prius, Gina C. Yoon, age 26, of Bellevue, was injured and was transported to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center.
Berger was hospitalized with injuries and was suspected of second-degree negligent driving, WSP said.
The other drivers involved in the accident were uninjured.
