Dustin Short seriously injured in Jefferson County pedestrian accident

JEFFERSON, MO, (November 13, 2022) - A Columbia man suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a motor vehicle Sunday evening in Jefferson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report obtained by The Legal Advocate, a 2010 Cadillac STS, driven by a 33-year-old Park Hills woman, was southbound on U.S. Highway 67. Just north of Oakvale Road, the vehicle struck a man pushing a disabled vehicle toward the right shoulder.

The victim, identified as 38-year-old Dustin Short, suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

The driver was uninjured.
