KAYLA TERRAL FATALLY STRUCK, MICHAEL SOLIS INJURED IN AUTO-PEDESTRIAN CRASH ON STATE HIGHWAY 256 NEAR MEMPHIS

Memphis, TX. (November 16, 2022)- 25-year-old Kayla Terral was killed, and 26-Michael Solis was injured in an auto-pedestrian crash on November 15, 2022, near Memphis, Texas. The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on state Highway 256 just east of Memphis. DPS reported that a westbound Toyota Corolla became disabled after hitting a deer. The driver of an oncoming Dodge Caravan did not realize that the flashing hazard lights were due to a disabled vehicle until it was too late. The Dodge then sideswiped the Toyota. Solis, the front seat passenger in the Toyota, was transported to a Lubbock hospital with serious injuries. Terral, the driver of the Toyota, was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
