The San Diego Fire Department reported a two-vehicle crash on Friday.
The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 805 at Mesa College Driver at around 3:53 a.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle had broken down on the shoulder of the road when it was hit by another vehicle. The crash caused the doors to get stuck and not be opened.
The officials responded to the crash and found one person stuck in the car. They had to be rescued and were then sent to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. They had incurred minor injuries.
There were two other people in the car but they were not injured.
The identities of those involved in the accident have not been disclosed.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
