Ruck was hit by his disabled vehicle after it was struck by another driver on Interstate 55

JEFFERSON, MO, (December 14, 2022) - Terrence Ruck was seriously injured on Dec. 14 when he was hit by his disabled vehicle after it was struck by another driver on Interstate 55 in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), Ruck was standing next to his Honda CRV at about 12:51 a.m. when it was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by a 48-year-old man. The door of the CRV then hit Ruck, 73, who was transported to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of his injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
