Morgan County, AL – February 15, 2022, a pedestrian was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler on Interstate 65 in Morgan County.
Authorities say the incident happened around 2:15 p.m. on I-65 south of the Tennessee River Bridge. Preliminary investigation suggests the victim pulled onto the shoulder and exited their vehicle to see if it had a flat tire. While outside of the vehicle the victim was hit by the commercial truck.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
