Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-10 in Orange County, TX

Orange County, TX — July 25, 2022, two people were injured in a chain-reaction wreck of at least eight vehicles on Interstate 10 in Orange County.

According to reports the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on eastbound I-10 near Exit 879. Preliminary investigation suggests a Mazda passenger vehicle got a flat tire and stopped in the travel lanes. Several vehicles slowed behind it in the roadway, but an approaching Peterbilt tractor-trailer that may have been speeding crashed into the line. It hit a Toyota car, triggering a chain of collisions.

The Toyota’s driver and passenger were transported to a Louisiana hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is currently available.
