Man working on disabled pickup struck and killed by another vehicle in Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WCYB) — A man working on his disabled pickup truck was struck and killed by another vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Johnson City Police Department.

Officers responded to Interstate 26 west near mile marker 17. Officers said Darrell Clark and other family members were working on his Ford F-150 on the shoulder of the road. Police said a Mazda 3 struck Clark and the pickup.

Clark died from his injuries at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
