LEEDS, AL, (February 10, 2023) - Alejandro Gonzalez was injured on Feb. 10 when the tractor-trailer that he was operating was struck by another big rig on westbound Interstate 20 in Jefferson County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Johnson’s Kenworth semi-truck was parked on the shoulder at about 10:50 a.m. near Leeds when it was hit by a Volvo tractor-trailer driven by a 24-year-old man. Gonzalez, 26, was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
