MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Hundreds of boxes of assorted frozen foods spilled on an Interstate 75 median after a semi-trailer truck overturned on the highway Tuesday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Around 5:45 a.m., the truck carrying frozen foods was traveling on I-75 in the right lane just before mile marker 232.
At the same time, another semi-trailer was disabled and parked on the paved shoulder with a flat trailer tire, FHP said.
The truck carrying the frozen foods veered into the shoulder, sideswiping the disabled truck. It also hit the rear right side of a pick-up truck, which overturned.
The semi-trailer truck also overturned, spilling the frozen foods on the median, FHP said. The truck’s driver was brought to a local hospital with minor injuries.
