WHITE LAKE, S.D. — South Dakota Highway Patrol crews responded to a multi-vehicle pileup on I-90 near White Lake Friday evening after the highway was closed from Sioux Falls to Chamberlain.
Highway patrol reports that around 12 passenger vehicles and 12 semi combinations were involved in the pileup.
Additionally, an estimated 40 passenger vehicles and 30 semi combinations were stopped in the pileup and did not receive damage, with some entering the median to avoid collision.
Highway patrol reports that their were only minor injuries as a result. Since the incident, I-90 from Sioux Falls to Chamberlain has been reopened as of Saturday morning.
