Good Samaritan who was hit while helping another motorist on 101st Parkway dies from injuries

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The pedestrian who was involved in the vehicle crash on Aug. 2 has died as a result of his injuries, and police said he was hit while helping another motorist move a disabled car.

At about 10:26 p.m., 44-year-old Harry Roman of Clarksville was assisting a motorist that had broken down on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway near Ringgold Road when he was hit from behind, according to a news release from Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

Roman was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville. Then he was transported to Nashville by LifeFlight helicopter and was on life support until Monday, Aug. 7.

Next-of-kin notifications have been made, and no other information has been released, as this is still an ongoing investigation.
