LEHI, Utah (KUTV) — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Timpanogos Highway in Lehi.
According to Sgt. Bart Kirkham with Lehi police, the crash happened a short time after 11 a.m. on Monday near 1100 West.
Officers said a Burgundy Acura MDX and a flatbed commercial motor vehicle were involved in the crash while traveling eastbound.
They said the truck had blown out a front tire and stopped on the shoulder before the Acura hit it from behind.
The 46-year-old male driver of the Acura, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene by Lehi EMS.
Witnesses reported that the Acura driver was not speeding. His identity was not initially released.
No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
