Odessa, TX — September 21, 2023, one person sustained injuries as the result of an 18-wheeler accident early Thursday morning near U.S. Highway 385.
Authorities said they were called out toe the area of Exit 116 for Crane and Andrews early Thursday morning.
Details at this time suggest that a pedestrian was outside of a disabled vehicle along the interstate, however it’s unclear exactly where the disabled vehicle was stopped in relation to lanes of travel. Somehow, an 18-wheeler struck the pedestrian, possibly hitting the disabled vehicle as well, and ran off-road across the service road.
Due to the collision, the pedestrian was transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Those injuries were apparently not life-threatening. There were no other confirmed injuries mentioned in reports. Right now, circumstances surrounding the crash are unavailable. No charges have been reported.
