KNOX COUNTY, Mo. — Two northeast Missouri women were taken to the hospital after a rear-end collision in Knox County Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report, the wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route V, about 8 miles north of Knox City.
The crash report states that James Miller, 57, of Knox City, was stopped at a mailbox on Route V when Katrina Hustead, 37, of Edina, who was traveling north, rear-ended the vehicle that Miller was driving.
Hustead suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.
Reva Hustead, 79, of Rutledge, was a passenger in Katrina’s car at the time of the crash. She suffered moderate injuries and was also taken by ambulance to Blessing Hospital.
Miller was not injured in the crash.
According to the report, Miller was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and Katrina and Reva Hustead were not buckled up.
