Pedestrian injured when semi strikes disabled car

BLUE EARTH — A 21-year-old Willmar woman was injured when she was struck by a disabled car she’d been standing near early Wednesday morning on the south edge of Wells.

Breanna Angel Larson was near a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt parked partially on a Highway 22 lane at 6:33 a.m. when the vehicle was struck by a southbound 2020 Freightliner semi. The car then hit Larson, the State Patrol said.

She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital in Blue Earth, the patrol said.

The driver of the semi was Shannon David Modene, 50, of Wells.
