HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach man was killed Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle that sent them colliding with a disabled car on the shoulder of Highway 501, authorities said.
David Berry, 50, died at Conway Medical Center of multiple traumatic injuries, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said Saturday evening.
It happened about 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of Savannah Bluff Road about two miles east of Conway, South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper William Bennett said.
A person was standing on the shoulder of Highway 501 near a Ford sedan when an unknown vehicle ran off the right side of the road, striking the person who then hit the disabled car.
