HOUSTON — A driver is dead after crashing into a bus on the Westpark Tollway Thursday morning, according to Houston METRO.
This happened just after 5 a.m. just west of Highway 6.
Details are limited, but METRO said the bus had stalled on the tollway due to mechanical issues when it was rear-ended. The driver of the car that rear-ended the bus was taken to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead.
METRO said there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. There’s no word on the status of the bus driver.
The crash is under investigation.
