Man arrested after crash on I-39/90

ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) – One man was arrested and another person suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after a crash Thursday involving a disabled vehicle, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

The crash was reported near Janesville at 6:07 a.m. on Interstate 90 eastbound.

Officials say a pickup truck crashed into the median wall near mile-marker 175. The truck was disabled in the far-left lane.

Prior to troopers arriving on scene, additional vehicles hit the disabled pickup truck. On arrival, troopers found the driver of the pickup truck had left the scene.

One of the occupants of the other vehicles suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in the crash, according to WisDOT. Assisting police agencies located the driver of the pickup and arrested the 22-year-old man on various charges.

The incident affected traffic for about one hour with the left two lanes closed.
