DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — ALL LANES HAVE BEEN REOPENED.
A truck driver is dead after a crash on I-85 N in Davidson County, according to troopers.
The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
An Amazon tractor-trailer was stopped on the right shoulder of the highway and was hit by another tractor-trailer that was going north on I-85.
The traveling tractor-trailer drove off the road to the left and crashed into several trees, killing the driver on the scene, according to troopers.
Crews are working to clear the trees to remove the crashed truck. This investigation is ongoing.
