At Least 1 Injured, 3-Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Rocklin Road [Rocklin, CA]

ROCKLIN, CA (March 19, 2024) — At least one person suffered an injury in a 3-car accident on the 80 Freeway near Rocklin Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a vehicle became disabled in the No. 1 lane. Subsequently, a second car crashed into the disabled vehicle, causing the disabled car to overturn on the center divider. At some point, a third car became involved.

Shortly after, paramedics responded and cared for at least one victim. Due to the 3-car accident, police issued a SigAlert for all eastbound lanes until 6:00 a.m. Authorities did not say what caused the crash. However, if anyone can help traffic investigators, call the CHP.
