KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department said one person is dead after a crash on I-75 Thursday morning.
The crash happened on the I-640 West ramp to I-75 North, near Merchant Drive, around 5:15 a.m., according to KPD.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a sedan was traveling on the ramp when it rear-ended a semi-truck. The semi was parked on the right shoulder of I-75 North, KPD said.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KPD.
