MISSOULA, Mont. — A semi sideswiped a broken-down SUV that was on the shoulder, causing the semi to run through the rail and into the barrier on the bridge around 7: 30 p.m. Sunday.
Fire and EMS were on scene but officials at the scene reported no critical injuries.
The semi was leaking fuel and fire crews were mitigating that risk with a cat litter type substance.
Westbound traffic slowed to one lane as workers cleared the accident.
The semi was carrying beer which was spilling from the front of the trailer that was hanging over the top of the Blackfoot River embankment.
