Motorcyclist dies after crashing into stopped vehicle on I-70 in Dickinson County

DICKINSON COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A Georgia motorcyclist died after hitting a vehicle that stopped on I-70 near Abilene Friday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped in the left lane of eastbound I-70 near mile marker 281 due to a separate accident, when a Harley Davidson motorcycle struck the rear of the Equinox. The operator of the motorcycle, 67-year-old William Anyan of Athens, Georgia, died of their injuries. Anyan was wearing a helmet and goggles at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Equinox was not injured
