Man killed in hit-and-run crash on I-4 in Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Interstate 4 in Osceola County has reopened after a fatal crash on Monday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol said the crash, involving a pedestrian and a car, happened at 1:39 p.m. near W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

A man was working on a Toyota Corolla parked on the outside shoulder of I-4 with its hood raised when he was hit by a car that kept driving, FHP said.

The victim was a 78-year-old man from Kissimmee, FHP said.

There is no suspect or vehicle information for the car that fled, FHP said.
