MERIDIAN TWP. — A teenager was seriously injured Monday night when he attempted to change a tire on a disabled vehicle that was then struck by another vehicle on Marsh Road, according to township police.
Police said in a release they were dispatched to a “vehicle vs pedestrian crash” on Marsh Road, north of Towner Road, at 11:16 p.m.
An 18-year-old boy had been “changing a tire on a disabled vehicle in the roadway when his vehicle was struck by a motorist traveling north.”
“The collision caused the disabled vehicle to strike him, causing serious injuries,” police said.
They said the teen was transported to the hospital for treatment, and the 31-year-old man whose vehicle struck the disabled vehicle also suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
