One person is dead and another sustained moderate injuries after a crash involving two semi-trucks on I-80 in Churchill County this morning.
Nevada State Police say the crash happened around 3:45am Saturday, January 25, 2025 on westbound I-80 near Humboldt Lake.
A semi-truck going westbound on I-80 near the area rolled over in a single semi-truck crash. Shortly after the initial crash, a second semi-truck going westbound in the area crashed into the first semi-truck that had rolled over.
The driver of the semi-truck that struck the rolled over semi-truck died as a result of the crash.
The section of I-80 where the crash occurred was closed for multiple hours but has since reopened.
