TDOT: Semi crash impacts traffic, 40,000 lbs of cargo to be offloaded

Nashville, Tenn. (WZTV) — A crash involving a semi-truck has closed several lanes of I-40 W at mile marker 202 in West Nashville.

Metro Communications confirmed that three people were taken for treatment from the scene of the crash. No word on the extent of injuries.

TDOT says that the crash happened just after midnight on Friday morning. A semi-truck struck a disabled vehicle before hitting the median and gantry. Officials say that the semi was hauling 40,000 pounds of car parts. The cargo will have to be offloaded before the crash is cleared.
