One Injured after Driver Hits Car Stopped on Shoulder
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash early Friday morning left one person injured on the eastbound Pomona 60 Freeway near Hacienda Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported on Oct. 24th around 4:41 a.m. and involved a gray Honda Civic and a gray Toyota sedan. CHP logs indicate that one vehicle was stopped on the right shoulder when it was struck at a high rate of speed by another vehicle. The impact caused the Honda to block the middle lanes of the freeway, while the Toyota came to rest against the right-side wall.
Emergency responders from Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived on scene, where one person in the Toyota was reported to have a possible broken leg. Tow crews from Pepe’s Tow Service responded with multiple trucks to clear the vehicles.
All lanes were briefly stopped just east of Hacienda Boulevard as crews worked to treat the injured and remove the wreckage. The No. 4 lane remained blocked for some time, causing significant early-morning delays for commuters.
The condition of those involved has not yet been released. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
