GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - One man is dead and two others are injured after a multi-vehicle pile-up on US Highway 90 in Gadsden County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers wrote in the media release that a 37-year-old man from Quincy was driving a sedan on the inside westbound lane. However, troopers said he was driving the wrong way and the front of his sedan struck the front of a pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old Tallahassee man.
The back of the pickup truck was then hit by a sedan that was driving behind it. After the collision, the initial sedan and pickup truck stopped in the road and blocked US Highway 90 for a time. The third vehicle travelled off the road and into the wood line facing north of US Highway 90.
A 44-year-old Quincy woman was driving the third vehicle in the pile-up and had minor injuries, per FHP. The Tallahassee man driving the pickup truck had serious injuries and the Quincy man in the sedan died, per FHP.
There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.
