ANSONIA, Conn. (WFSB) - Part of Route 8 was closed after a 20-year-old was hit by a pickup truck on Friday night.
According to state police, Jaiden Andreiz Ragsdale, age 20, was stopped in the left lane for an unknown reason.
Police suspected that Ragsdale was standing next to his car.
At the same time, a truck collided with the stopped car.
Police said Ragsdale was brought to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver, John Yoo, age 47, said he was not injured.
Ragsdale’s passenger, Victor Diogo Alvarez, age 20, suffered suspected minor injuries.
This incident remains under investigation.
