Sacramento County, CA – In the early hours of Friday, February 7, 2025, a woman suffered major injuries after being struck by a vehicle following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80, according to FOX40.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 2:40 AM on eastbound Interstate 80, east of Elkhorn Boulevard.
Authorities said the woman was driving a Honda Pilot when she was involved in a single-vehicle crash that disabled her car. The vehicle came to a stop, blocking two center lanes. A man driving a Chevrolet Express in the same direction then struck the woman.
She was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The CHP stated that neither driver was suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The investigation remains ongoing.
