A Raleigh police officer was injured Sunday in a crash involving three vehicles on U.S. Highway 64 at Lizard Lick Road near Zebulon.
The crash was reported around 4:30 a.m., blocking all eastbound lanes of U.S. 64 at Exit 432 for Lizard Lick Road. The road reopened by 7 a.m.
Investigators told WRAL News a 2011 Ford Edge was traveling eastbound on U.S. 64 when it hit the center guardrail, crashed and became stalled without headlights in the dark roadway.
